I’m Fran and I’m a Londoner. I was born in North London, close to Ally Pally, as Alexandra Palace is known to the locals. It stands on a hill with a great view of London and is home to the studio where the BBC made their very first television broadcast.

I’ve spent some time living and working in Tokyo, making friends and learning Japanese. The Josie Clark mysteries are based on my experiences in Tokyo and travelling round Japan.
